Most of the time, famous people become famous for doing things well. Sometimes though, people become famous for doing things BADLY. Florence Foster Jenkins was one such person. Philomena director Stephen Frears brings Jenkins’ moving and hilarious story to the big screen for the first time with Meryl Streep as the woman whom audiences would pay to hear because of her lack of rhythm, pitch, and tone.
